YES! We are now homeowners! As I stated in my previous blog post we bought a house! We love our new home and it's even better than we remember it being from our initial walk through of it! So far I love owning my own home and getting to do all kinds of cool, decorative stuff to it.
Our son, also LOVES the new house! Especially the back yard with the swing set and playhouse!
So, here is our new abode! It's a spacious 3-4 bedroom ranch style home with 2 full bathrooms, a finished basement, big garage, and nice fenced in back yard.

|
Before: Main floor bathroom was an avocado type green. | | |

After: The bathroom is aqua! |

After: Grey walls with one accent aqua wall behind our bed:) |

We took the closet doors off and added this orange curtain because I had to my dresser in the closet.
This is the third room on the main floor. (The curtains are no longer in the middle of the floor). It is currently holding some of Elisha's old baby items in the closet and my Sis in law used it as a guest room when she stayed here last week. We are keeping the chartreuse color on the walls. We are hoping to eventually make this room a nursery in the future;)

Garage!
Ignore the box mess. I really like our big garage, but it still needs some organization!
Well, that concludes the tour of our new home! I still have some work to do especially in the basement in the garage, but so far I'm really enjoying the house and I'm having fun making it our home! |
ohmigoodness. I just LOVE it!! I want to know more about the bathroom decoration squares. I'm so jealous of your office space. Please come visit and tell me what I need to make my house more colorful and cute!!! :)
ReplyDeleteAmy, thank you! The square decor in the bathroom is simply just canvases that I covered with patterned scrapbook paper! When we bought the house it had an Americana/primitive feel to it. I knew I definitely wanted grey walls because of all my colorful and eclectic decor (ie. chartreuse chevron curtains and yellow floral throw pillows in the living room). And then I just picked two other colors that I loved seeing with the grey (orange and aqua) and used those accents through the rest of the house whether with an accent wall or with decor in those colors. There are pops of orange and aqua or turquoise almost every room. :) I think being an interior designer/decorator or consultant would be a fun job! :)
ReplyDeleteKara,
ReplyDeleteYou're so fortunate to have a hubby who lets you freely paint and decorate! My husband is literally scared of color! ;-) Congrats on the new house!
-Erin
Thank you, Erin! Trust me, convincing Matt that the colors and my vision for them would all come together was not an easy task! He was nervous about "too much grey" and the aqua bathroom took some getting used to. But, he ended up loving it!
