T-Shirt Design {The Gorsett Twins}

If you have not heard of The Gorsett Twins, let me offer you a taste:

I have known these two very talented sisters, Jenny and Patty Jo Gorsett for the last nine years. In fact, Jenny, my husband and I used to be in a band called Epiphany when we were in High School- good times.
Anyway, I was totally honored and stoked when  Jenny asked me to design their t-shirts for their merch table. The Gorsett Twins will be opening for John McKewan, the lead singer of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band on July 12, 2011 at the Carrollton, MO Fair Grounds.

Here are the t-shirt designs!

I cannot wait to see the designs when they are on the t-shirts, here is a bit of sneak peek:

Custom Ink won't be making the shirt, I just used their site to see what the designs would look like on a t-shirt so the white outline around the image won't be there. I think they are going to be pretty sweet!

My Studio Space- A Very Small Tour

I have been doing bit of a makeover on my small studio space the last few days. Here is a before and after photo:

Okay, so maybe the makeover consisted of mostly organizing and tidying up and maybe most of the actual makeover took place on the wall space above my desk. I wanted to work on making what space I had more inspirational and fun. Here is a closer look:

I just took some of my funky designed scrapbook tags and stamped on them fun little words and graphics and pinned them to the cork board under my calendar.

Once again, got out my scrapbook supplies along with some of my favorite photos and some extra frames I had and made this amazing wall collage. Each frame has a photo and embellishments that describe the picture or my relationship with that person.

After I decorated the walls I decided I should tidy up and get organized so that my craft making would be more efficient.

My workspace.

Sewing space.

Ironing space.

Painting and sewing supplies.

Reading/blogging area

Neatly stored scrapbooking stuff/Matt's school stuff.

And that is the short tour of my small studio space which I am very grateful for. :)

Storage Cube

I've seen a lot of  tutorials for this cozy cube lately and I really wanted to try it out. I am very pleased with how it turned out! This cute storage cube is decorative and functional!

As you can see, it's great for holding craft projects, yarn or scrap material.

Very useful for holding books or magazines.

And for the mamas it makes a wonderful diaper/wipes storage bin.

This basket is rather sturdy and can hold quite a bit. This cube measures approximately 8 inches and can hold all these various things and more, from cosmetics to toddler toys. This item is now listed in my Etsy shop!
