Muslin Knot Christmas Wreath

This the the first wreath I've ever made and it was super easy to make-just a little time consuming.

Here are some things you will need:
-Wire hanger
-1/2 yard or so of muslin
- Quarter yard of fabric print of your choice (for flower embellishment)
- Strip  of fabric print of your choice whatever length suits you best to make the bow that hangs the wreath
-Hot glue gun
-Scissors

Step 1:
Bend the wire hanger in to a circle and twist ends of the wire together to connect the circle.

Step 2:
I wrapped the hanger in burlap before adding the muslin, but you don't have to. Start cutting a gazillion strips of muslin. Tie the the muslin in knots around the wire hanger until it's full of muslin strips.

Step 3:
tie your strip for the bow a the top of your wreath and make a bow.
  Step 4:
Make flower embellishments out of the the quarter of fabric. Here is the tutorial for the flower embellishment: Shabby Fabric Roses Tutorial.

Step 5:
Hot glue the fabric flowers onto your wreath.

And your done! Hang and enjoy!

While I was making this wreath I was thinking of how symbolic it was. The muslin kind of reminds me of the swaddling clothes that was used to wrap up baby Jesus. The red bow makes me think of Christ's blood sacrifice which was a gift to us. And the three green flowers makes me think of the Holy Trinity as well as new life given through Christ's life and death.
